A collector sent an email today with a photo of a 2017A $1 bill that shows as "Not Found" on the Star Note Lookup. I double checked the BEP's monthly production reports and also USPaperMoney.info and neither have any information about it.
Based on the serial number, it is likely that the star note's run size is in the range of 1,920,000 to 3,200,000 notes. If more are found and reported we can more accurately estimate the run size..
So star note collectors, have you found any 2017A $1 notes with a serial number higher than A08760944*? If so, please leave a comment or send an email with a picture.
Please do not contact me for appraisal requests.
They will be ignored and/or deleted. I receive too many to handle. Read the article "What Is My Note Worth?" to learn how to determine your note's value.
